Gibbering

Apparently my night-time cold and flu tables have an effect not entirely unlike Ecstacy. I wouldn't know as I do not hold with the drugs (this is true, I have not taken any of the synthetic chemical drugs in my life unless you count BCF Fire Extinguishers*). I don't really remember what I was doing last night to warrant such a comparison but I do recall that everything was swimmingly excellent and I may have gibbered a little.

Active Ingredients:
Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2mg
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5mg
And just reading up on Wikipedia I discovered:
Chlorphenamine has antidepressant properties, inhibiting reuptake of the neurotransmitter serotonin. Based on this knowledge, the Swedish company Astra AB was able to derive the first marketed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, zimelidine, from chlorphenamine.

* Joking, but in school I was considered the ring-leader of the bad kids who did indeed steal a BCF Fire Extinguisher and get truly and totally messed up. They got caught because one of them actually collapsed and split his head open and required stitches. Me, I was an awesome ring-leader and never did anything bad. BCF Fire Extinguishers were eventuially banned after a number of idiot teens died.
