Things you should know about me Part 7

I have shaved wrists.

It's hard to tell from this photo, because I am about the least hirsute person I know*. Very delicate and supple wrists too, I might add. I thought you'd like them.

"Why the hell do you shave your wrists, Tt?" I hear all 3 of my regular readers ask**. Well, pursuant to my delicate and supple wrists, I have to tape them when I am boxing. Even with my lack of hair, sports-tape is agony to remove unless one's wrists are smooth, as well as delicate and supple.

Once the delicate and supple wrists are taped, we proceed to wrap them. You can see that my hands now look slightly scary, instead of weirdly androgynous and indeed, erotic. Although the sleeve of my 'Old Man' cardigan is ruining the vibe, so you'll have to visualise it. You'll thank me in years to come when using your mind like this has delayed the onset of geriatric dementia.

Finally, we don the boxing gloves This is a 16-ounce boxing glove, which is heavier than what is allowed in competition, but it's slightly friendlier to get hit with because of the extra padding***.

I was going to show a picture of me training, but I only have a webcam, and I can't take a picture and do anything else at the same time. So then I was actually trying to punch myself in the head and take a picture at the same time to demonstrate the use of the gloves. Things I have learnt today:
  1. It's really hard to simulataneously punch yourself in the head and click a mouse at exactly the right time to get a shot of the moment of impact; and
  2. All this boxing is making me dumberer.

* I still don't have to shave everyday. My hairy friends (Hi Tommy!) think this is good, because they have full beards by 2 o'clock in the afternoon, which is apparently quite the hassle. I would love a beard. Just once. Just so I know what I am missing out on.
** Yeah, I know. 3 readers is highly optimistic.
*** As much as getting punched quite hard can be considered to be 'friendly'. Dumberer, I tells you.

2. what a lovely cardigan

Cardigan is my favourite, despite the fact that I have been villified as a dirty old man for wearing it.

I bought it in an op-shop in Toowoomba in December of 1995 for $1.50.
